On April 2, 2003, Acoustic Syndicate gave permission to Ty Chambers for shows to be hosted at the Archive (this a side project):
Hey Ty - All good ...Anyway, proceed. You have the official "OK." Any ongoing details you can
give me would be appreciated, and if I can do anything to help, just holler.
Thanks and stay in touch - Al
Al Hinton
Manager - Acoustic Syndicate
(Ty heard a positive response from Jay as well).
Ty then wrote up for the band:
I am writing on behalf of Acoustic Syndicate to inform you that we are very
supportive of the taping community at large and would love to allow our fans
to upload and download their shows freely. At this time, their are no limits
to the shows fans are allowed to trade. Acoustic Syndicate allows both
sounboard and audience mic taping. In the event the band requests people not
to tape a particular show due to the possible inclusion of that show for an
official live commercial release, it might be the case that we will ask for
that show not to be made available through the archive.org download
database. Additional shows that would be allowed to be uploaded and
downloaded include any side projects the various band members may be
involved in, unless specifically noted otherwise. These bands include Big
Daddy Bluegrass Band and AVAS(Acoustic Vibration Appreciation Society). If
you need any additional information or have any questions, please let me
know. As soon as I receive some confirmation that we can begin uploading
shows, I will help spread the word and begin some uploads ASAP.
Thank you for offering such a service to the world community. It's a
beautiful thing.
Policy
Free and open trading of all shows. No sales of bootlegs. Acoustic Syndicate will be hapy to facilitate recording at shows. Speak with Chris Mitchell, our sound engineer, upon arrival. Please remember that music is a magic we all share, be fair and nice to your fellow traders and to us and we will all make this world a better place!
